Standard Wet/Dry Filter Assembly

The HZD 750 W/D is equipped with a combination wet & dry main filter assembly. This
consists of a black wet shut-off assembly with a ball float on top of which is a secondary
white Permatex 0.5 micron nylon filter on which is placed a steel filter grid The purpose
of the filter grid is to keep the white Permatex material clear of the air inlet underneath
the HEPA module. Do NOT use the machine without the filter grid in place as this may
cause overheating.

If the machine is to be used in a wet application, it is essential that the secondary dry
Permatex filter be used as a dry barrier between the wet filter assembly & the HEPA
module. If this is not done, the working life of the HEPA filter will be drastically reduced
and its filtering capability will be compromised.

The wet filter assembly float ball rises up when fluid levels reach the maximum capacity
of the vacuum tank. When this occurs, the pitch of the vacuum motors increases
indicating that the vacuum should be turned off and the container emptied.

Spare Dry Filter - NVM 16B

The HZD 750 W/D is provided with a primary white Permatex dry filter assembly. This
is part of the standard BB20 kit. This dry filter can be used when the machine is to be
used for a dry only application. In that case, the above mentioned wet/dry filter
assembly should be removed completely and the primary dry filter put in its place.

Optional Microtex Filter - NVM 10C

As an optional accessory for DRY USE ONLY the HZD 750 W/D may be fitted with a
Microtex filter. When this filter is used it must always be used with the primary
Permatex filter as a pre-filter. It is nesessary to remove the black filter grid from the
Permatex filter and place it inside the yellow Microtex filter.

The Microtex filter is capable of filtration efficiency of over 99% at .3 microns. This filter
will prolong the life of the HEPA filter.

Vacuum Tank

The recovery tank of the HZD 750 W/D is made of galvanized steel and coated with a
yellow epoxy powdercoat paint finish to help prevent corrosion To empty debris, simply
remove the powerhead and filters and then release the steel toggle at the rear of the
machine. This allows the tank drum to be removed from the cart. The drum is
equipped with carrying handles on the side to facilitate lifting.

After wet use it is recommended to allow the drum to dry out before storage.

For handling and disposal of hazardous debris, always be sure to comply with
local regulations.
