8. Congratulations on the purchase and installation of another quality Rugged Ridge product.
6. Attach 3” Hose to Plenum before installing to throttle body using OE plenum nut. Do not tighten. Slide (2)
Hose Clamps onto hose but do not tighten. Slide Air Intake Tube into 3” Hose. Next, slide (1) Hose Clamp onto
the flange of the Air Filter before sliding it onto the end of the Air Intake Tube inside the Heat shield. Note:
This filter is polyester synthetic and never needs to be oiled. It can be cleaned with warm water and mild
detergent dish soap
7. Once Air Intake Assembly is properly positioned inside Heat Shield. Tighten bracket of Intake Tube onto
Rubber Mount. Tighten hose clamps to secure Intake Tube and Air Filter into place. Tighten plenum nut.
Attach Breather hose to Air Intake Tube. The small breather hose should be zip tied to power steering fluid line.
