Nothing Happens when Shutter Is Pressed

Cause

Solution

The flash is recharging.

Look through the viewfinder and wait
for the red light to turn off.

The camera does
not have room for
another picture.

Erase the last picture or all of the
stored pictures as described in
the “Erasing Pictures” section of
Chapter 2.

Flash Does Not Work

Cause

Solution

Flash is not turned on.

Turn on the flash as described in
the “Setting the Flash” section of
Chapter 2.

The batteries are low.

Replace the batteries following the
instructions in Chapter 1 or use a
power adapter.

Flash tube has burned out.

Have camera serviced.
