12. Fully extend the rails on both sides of the rack by sliding the ball rails out of the front of the outer rails

until the ball rails are locked and cannot be pulled out further. You should hear a click when the ball rails
are locked. Then, check the front ends of the ball rails to ensure the inner side of each ball rail is locked
in position by the small metal lever

before you install the server into the rack.

13. Lift up the server now equipped with rack handles and inner rails on both sides and carefully insert the

inner rails into the extended ball rails. Then, slide the inner rails straight into the ball rails until the inner
rails are stopped by the retention tabs.

Notes:

a. Before lifting up your server, see “Guidelines” on page 1 to determine whether two or more people

are required. Strictly follow the guidelines for safe lifting.

b. Do not force the inner rails into the ball rails. When they are aligned properly, they will engage

smoothly.

c. You must support the server from the bottom to prevent it from dropping and ensure that it slides in

horizontally.
