• Do not extend more than one server or device out of the rack cabinet at the same time.

• If possible, remove the doors and side panels of the rack cabinet to provide easier access during

installation.

• Do not overload the electrical outlet when you install multiple devices in the rack cabinet.

• Connect all power cords to proper electrical outlets and refer to the documentation that comes with the

rack cabinet for cabling information to help you properly manage all the cables in the rack cabinet.

• Install the server in a rack that meets the following requirements:

Note: It is important to consider the length of the server, the slide rails, and the additional clearance when
selecting a rack cabinet with proper depth before the installation.

– Standard 19-inch rack configuration as defined by the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA)

– Can accommodate the server and outer rail

– Minimum depth of 7 cm (2.76 inches) between the front mounting flange and the inside of the front

door (this clearance is required for the bezel and chassis pull handles on the front of the server as well
as air circulation through the cabinet)

– Minimum depth of 15.7 cm (6.18 inches) between the rear mounting flange and the inside of the rear

door (this clearance is required for cabling and air circulation through the cabinet)

• Pay attention to the following statement:

CAUTION:
Do not place any object on top of rack-mounted devices.
