Replacing the heat sink and system fan
To replace the heat sink and system fan
1. Remove the computer cover. Refer to “Removing the computer cover”.
2. Remove the 7 screws that secure the heat sink and system fan to the
system board and LCD panel bracket 1 .
3. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board 2 . Pull the
heat sink and system fan away from the system board.

4. Align the 7 screw holes on the new heat sink and system fan to the 7
mounting holes on the chassis.
5. Insert and tighten the 7 screws to secure the heat sink and system fan.
6. Connect the system fan cable to the system board.
7. Install the computer cover. Refer to ”Completing the installation“.
