User Preference
for default
scaling factor
•
In production environments, scaling or scale to fit is
undesirable when users want to control the exact sizing.
Impose gives users the option to define the default scale
factor from EFI Command WorkStation preferences, and
EFI Impose honors the new default scale when it is
launched.
• This enhancement is applicable for
either non-VDP or VDP jobs.
• Adds flexibility and control that
respond to additional
imposition layout requirements.
User preference
for PS to PDF
conversion
• EFI Impose uses PDF as its internal process file format.
When a job is in PostScript format, the PS file is
automatically converted to PDF while the file is being
loaded by the application.
(NOTE: The quality of the conversion is governed by
Distiller's PDF settings.)
• Increases control over PDF
conversion.
• Enables the user to create
different PDF settings for
different workflow needs
without the need to alter the
pre-defined PDF settings.
Delivery Options
• Delivery Options provides flexibility for users by allowing
them to alter the output order and printing characteristics
of the imposed sheets (signatures). It also changes the
output sequence of the signature.
• There are three deliver options:
• Output Face: Face up/down:
This is like the PPD setting Face Up/Down.
• Sequence: default / reverse:
This is like the PPD setting 1 to N; N to 1.
• Nested Saddle Group Sequence: Default / Reverse.
Controls the output sequence of the nested saddle
group. 1 to N, N to 1 in group; not by sheet.
• Server-based EFI Impose offers
greater control during later stages
of document production.
• These controls allow the users
to prepare the printing sheets
(signature) in the manner which
best suits the finishing
operation once the job is
printed.
