3.3.3 Transmitting PC faxes
The machine has the following two PC fax transmission modes:
This section describes the procedure for transmitting a document you create using the simple mode.

Install the KONICA MINOLTA Fax to the computer before using this function. For details on installing the
driver, refer to Chapter 3, "Installing to Windows" in the User’s Guide Print Operations.
For details on setting the cover page, file format, and transmission report, and the procedure for using the
advanced mode for transmission, refer to Chapter 4, "Transmitting Faxes from a Computer" in the User’s
Guide Scan and Fax Operations.

Create and edit the document to transmit.

Execute a print command in the application software.

Select "KONICA MINOLTA Fax" as the printer.

Press [Properties] to open the detailed settings screen.

Click the [Paper] tab, and specify the detailed settings, as necessary.

Click the [Fax Settings] tab.
Mode Description
Simple Mode This mode is available when you are registered as a user on Message Board.
In addition to specifying the destination, enables you to set the paper and resolu-
tion, a cover page, the scanned image file format, and transmission report settings.
Advanced Mode In addition to what can be set with the simple mode, enables you to specify the fax
transmission time and edit the subject and text of the e-mail.
You can also save the created document in a user box in order to transmit it to-
gether with other documents later.
