8.2 Initializing the printer driver
When you have installed the printer driver, you need to change the initialization condition such as options
before daily printing and enable functions of this machine from the printer driver.

Reminder
If the installed options are not specified on the Printer Info dialog box, the option functions cannot be
used from the printer driver. When installing options, be sure to make the proper settings.
8.2.1 Options

Open the Print & Fax (or Printer Setup Utility or Print Center) dialog box.
– Open the Print & Fax dialog box from "System Preferences" on the "Apple" menu (Mac OS X
10.4/10.5).
– Open the Printer Setup Utility or Print Center dialog box from "Hard Disk" - "Applications" -
"Utilities" (Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4).

The Printer Info dialog box appears.
– On the Print & Fax dialog box, click the [Option & Supplies] (Mac OS X 10.5) or the [Printer Setup]
(Mac OS X 10.4) button.
– On the Printer Setup Utility or Print Center dialog box, select "Show Info" from the "Printer" menu.

The Installable Options dialog box appears.
– For Mac OS X 10.5, click the [Driver] button.
– For Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4, select "Installable Options".

Select the options that are installed on this machine.

Click the [OK] or [Apply Changes] button, and then close the "Printer Info" dialog box.
