PCs. Although all users on this
network may use the printer,
the (print) data flow to that
particular PC may affect its
normal use. In most of these
cases, this PC is exclusively
needed as a print server and
cannot be used as a normal
PC anymore.

Parallel Interface

Connect your printer to your PC with a parallel cable.
The cable must not be longer than 6.5 feet (2 meters).

Turn on the PC and the printer.

When the message window displays

IDLE/MAGICOLOR

2300DL

, insert the Utilities and Documentation CD-ROM in your PC’s

CD-ROM drive and follow the instructions on the screen to install the
printer driver and utilities.

When you have finished, remove the CD-ROM and store it in a safe place.

Customize the printer driver settings for your printer’s configuration. Refer
to the printer driver’s online help.
