Production Workflows
Introduction
In this module you will practice special IC-301 print controller workflows that
maximize productivity when printing your jobs.
In this module you will print:
• Business cards — Using the step and repeat imposition method helps you save
costs, as it enables maximum paper usage.
• A variable information (VI) job — VI jobs are jobs in which the printed
materials are individualized for specific recipients or purposes. These materials
can include bills and targeted advertising. You will print the VI job via a virtual
printer. Virtual printers automatize the printing workflow.

Note: If you are working with European paper stock, follow these instructions for all the
activities in this guide:
- Instead of tabloid-size paper, use A3.
- Instead of letter-size paper, use A4.
- Instead of importing files with the suffix Letter (for example,
Chicken_Letter) from the
training CD, import the corresponding files with the suffix A4 (for example, Chicken_A4).
