2.2.3 Internal Machine Items of Joining Section
No. Name Description
1 Main power switch Used only by service representative to turn the ma-
chine power off/on. Be sure not to turn it off in usual
operation.
2 Total counter Indicates the total number of prints made.
3 Knob [M2] Opens leftward to allow removal of mishandled pa-
per.
4 Conveyance fusing unit Pulled out for removal of mishandled paper. For
handling levers and knobs of the conveyance fus-
ing unit, follow the instruction on the screen to be
displayed when paper misfeed occurs.
5 Lever [M4] Opens rightward to allow withdrawal of the convey-
ance fusing unit for removal of mishandled paper.
6 Drum unit Forms the image.
7 Fusing unit Fuses toner onto paper.
8 Side guides Aligned to the edges of loaded paper.
9 Feed roller Feeds paper sheet by sheet to the printing unit.
10 Lock release lever Pushed backward to release the lock in order to
move side guides.
11 Air nozzle Blows air to slightly float the paper to prevent dou-
ble feed.
12 Rear guide Aligned to the rear edge of loaded paper.
13 Toner bottle Supplies the main body with toner.
14 Toner unit lever Pulled to withdraw the toner unit to replace the ton-
er bottle.
15 Waste toner box Collects waste toner.
16 Lock lever Opens leftward while pushing the waste toner box
to release the lock for replacement of the waste
toner box.
17 Knob [TD1] Turned clockwise to feed mishandled paper.
18 Lever [TD2] Opens rightward for removal of mishandled paper.
