Turning On/Off the Power

This machine has three power switches in total: one main power switch on each of Main Body 1 and Main
Body 2, and one sub power switch on Main Body 1.

2.5.1

Turning On the Power

Turn ON the main power switch on both Main Body 1 and Main
Body 2.

Each of the main power switch is located inside Main Body 1
and Main Body 2.

It can be reached by first opening the front door, then the left
side door of the main body.

With both of the main power switches turned on, the Power
LED on the control panel lights in red.

NOTICE

Be sure not to turn off/on the

main power switch; the main

power switch should normally be kept turned on.

However, if you set the transition time in [ErP Setting] or set [Main
Power Auto OFF Setting] to ON, the

main power switch will be turned off automatically. In those cases,

manually turn on the

main power switch.

Turn ON the sub power switch.

The sub power switch is located on the front of Main Body 1.

With the sub power switch turned on, the power LED on the
control panel turns green.

The Wake-up Screen and Warm-up Screen will be displayed.

The Wake-up Screen is displayed for a few seconds, followed by the Machine Screen with warm-up
indications.

The warmup takes approximately 7 minutes and 40 seconds.

While the main body is warming up, a progress bar is displayed to indicate the warming-up status.

If Perfect Binder PB-503 is attached to the machine and when the perfect binder heater is turned on,
a progress bar is displayed to indicate the warming-up status.

The message [Ready to print] appears on the Machine Screen to inform you that printing job is now
available.

% If a key counter is required, follow the instruction on the screen.
