2.9 Indicating the Machine Status: Status Indicator Light
Indicates the current status of the machine in 4 different colors. Using the indicator light, the status of the
machine can be checked from a distance.
Meaning of the status indicator light
Color of the status
indicator light Machine status Remedy
Red The machine has stopped due to a
trouble such as paper jam, empty pa-
per tray/toner, or waste parts. Check the status of the machine on the
control panel. You can also check the
status of the machine using a comput-
er connected to the network.
Orange The toner supply message is dis-
played. Check the status of the toners in Main
Body 1 and Main Body 2 on the con-
trol panel.
Green Printing is in progress. No particular action is needed.
Blue The machine is ready to print. No particular action is needed.
No lighting The main power switch or sub power
switch is turned off, or the machine is
not ready to print due to a warm-up in
progress, open door, or other cause. If none of the status mentioned in the
left column applies and the indicator is
not lighted, check the message dis-
played on the control panel.
