Adjusting flash output (Flash Intensity Control)

Flash output can be adjusted if you find that your subject to appears overexposed, or is
underexposed even though the exposure in the rest of the frame is just right.

Center weighted
averaging metering

This metering mode provides the
average metering between the subject
and the background lighting, placing
more weight on the subject at the center.

Spot metering

Choose this option to meter a small area
with the camera pointed at the object
you wish to meter. Exposure will be
adjusted according to the brightness at
the metered point.

Press the shutter button halfway.

• Normally, the camera will start metering when the shutter button is pressed halfway

and lock exposure while the shutter button is held in this position.
