Connecting the camera to the computer

Use the provided USB cable to connect the camera to the computer.

Macintosh OS 9.0 to 9.2

When the computer recognizes the camera, an “untitled” icon appears
on the desktop.

Double click the “untitled” icon on
your desktop.

If you cannot find the icon or an error message appears, there may be a
problem with one of the following:
c

the camera’s power source (the AC adapter is not properly connected or
the battery power is low)

d

the card (there is no card in the camera or there is a problem with the card)
→ Check that you can play back pictures stored on the card on the

monitor of your digital camera.

the connection between the camera and the computer
→ Check the USB cable connection.

f

the “File Exchange” exchange is disabled in Apple’s “Extension
Manager”.
→ Please refer to the computer’s manual for details.

Check for the “DCIM” folder.

This confirms that the camera is recognized by the computer. You can
now operate the files on the computer.

If any pictures were taken with the camera, you can double click the “DCIM”
folder-“100OLYMP” to display the image files.
