The monitor is hard to see
n The brightness is not adjusted
properly. n Adjust the monitor brightness. P.54

direct sunlight. o Block the sunlight with your
hand. –
p You are wearing sunglasses or
some other type of polarizing
glasses. p Remove your glasses. –
The picture is out of focus
n The camera moved when the
shutter button was pressed. n Hold the camera correctly.
Press the shutter button gently
using the ball of your finger.
When you take a picture with
the flash off mode or night
scene mode in a dark situation,
use a tripod or hold the camera
firmly. P.72,

p In self-timer mode, you were
standing in front of the camera
lens when you pressed the
shutter button. p If you press the shutter button
when you are standing in front
of the camera lens, the camera
will focus on you. Press the
shutter button while looking at

halfway. q Wait until the green lamp lights
before pressing the shutter
