The image stabilizer is
deactivated. This is recommended
for shooting when the camera is
fi xed in place on a tripod or other
stable surface.

The image stabilizer is activated.

While Exposing

Image stabilization is activated
when the shutter button is
pressed all the way down.

While [Image Stabilizer] is active, camera may

sound during image stabilization.

The image stabilizer cannot correct excessive

camera shake or camera shake that occurs when
the shutter speed is set to the slowest speed. In
these cases, it is recommended that you use a
tripod.
