Basic Operation

(2) Distance from the current location
Shows the distance in a straight line between the
location indicated by the cross pointer and your
current location.

Touch the area close to the centre of the
screen to scroll slowly; touch near the sides of
the screen to scroll through quickly.

Viewing the information of a specified
location

The icon appears at registered places (home
location, specific places, address book entries)
and places where there is a POI or traffic infor-
mation. Place the cross pointer over the icon to
view detailed information.

Scroll the map and move the cross
pointer to the place you want to view.

The information shown varies according to
the location. (There may be no information for
that location.)

Press the NAVI button.
You are returned to the map of your surround-
ings.

Finding a destination on the map

If you search the location you want to visit by
scrolling the map, and touch “Destination” in
the Shortcut menu, you can specify your destina-
tion on the map.

Press the NAVI button to access the map
screen.

Touch the map for at least 2 seconds.
The map display changes to Scroll mode.

Scroll the map and move the cross
pointer to the place you want to make
your destination.

If you press the NAVI button during route cal-
culation, the calculation is cancelled and the
map display appears.
