Starting the server
1 Make sure that the monitor, keyboard, mouse and all peripher-
als are correctly connected.
NOTE: To start up SST from CD-ROM, the CD-ROM drive
must be set to have top priority in the Boot menu of the BIOS
setup utility. For details on how to set the Boot menu, refer to
the MAGNIA Z500 User’ s Guide.
2 Make sure that all power cables are connected to grounded AC
outlets.
3 Turn on the power of the monitor.

4 Turn on the Power button on the computer front, and immedi-
ately insert the SST CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
5 After a while, the Toshiba Server Setup TooL Start-up screen is
replaced with the Main menu.
