This section describes how to turn on the power.

1. If an optional USB Floppy Disk drive is connected, make sure the drive

is empty. If a diskette is in the drive, press the eject button to remove it.

2. Press the Power button.

Starting up for the first time

When you first turn on the power, the computer’s initial screen is the

Windows Vista™ Startup Screen Logo. Follow the on-screen directions.

During setup, you can click the Back button to return to the previous

screen.

Operating System End User License

Agreement carefully.

Use reasonable care when opening and closing the display panel. Opening

it vigorously or slamming it shut could damage the computer.

After you turn on the power for the first time, do not turn it off until you have

set up the operating system. Refer to the section Starting up for the first

time in this chapter.
