ow that you have looked up the
four-digit Entry Code number for

your brand of device, you are ready
to follow the four simple steps below.

Please read through steps 1–4 before
you begin.

Press and HOLD one of the

MODE buttons on the remote

control to place the remote in the
mode you choose. The mode but-
tons are TV, DVD, VCR, and
ACC(essory). Example: If using a
VCR, press the VCR MODE button.

While still holding down the

desired MODE button, Press the
MENU/SELECT button

Within 30 seconds after releas-

ing the MODE and
MENU/SELECT buttons, use the
NUMBER buttons on the remote
control to enter the four-digit
Entry Code number
for the desired
device. The remote is now ready to
send commands to the accessory
device.

Point the remote at the device.

Press the POWER button on the
remote to turn the device ON.

If this doesn’t work the first time,
repeat the steps using the same remote
Entry Code number.

After a second try and the remote does
not operate your device, see if there is
another four-digit code number (pages
34–35) listed for your device and
repeat the steps above using the new
number.

If after repeated attempts the Entry
Code number method does not work
your device, try the Search Method
on the next page.

If more than one Entry Code num-

ber is listed, you may have to try more
than the first four-digit code given to
find the one that will work your acces-
sory device.
