ollow the steps below for
practice using the PIP but-

tons on your TV’s remote control.

Press the PIP ON/OFF button

and PIP will appear in one of the

two modes, depending on the last
selection of the PIP mode. If
necessary, press the PIP ON/OFF
button again to show the Single
Mode PIP screen.

Press the PIP CH(annel) +, –

buttons to change channels in the
PIP subpicture.

Press the PIP SWAP button to

switch the main and PIP subpicture.

Press the PIP FREEZE button

to stop motion in the PIP subpicture.
This feature is especially useful in
getting on-screen phone numbers,
addresses, or other information.
Press the PIP FREEZE button again
to resume the action in the PIP
subpicture.

Press the PIP SOURCE button

to change the video source that
appears in the PIP subpicture.
(Remember that ANT[enna] B
cannot be displayed as the PIP
subpicture.) Choose an input to
which you have connected an
accessory VCR, DVD, or other
video source.

Press the PIP POSITION

button to move the PIP subpicture.
Each press moves the subpicture to
a different corner of the screen.

Press the PIP ON/OFF button

twice to remove the PIP subpicture.

Regular Picture

The PIP SWAP button will work

only when the TV is in Single
Mode PIP, not Surf Mode PIP.

The PIP SWAP button will not

work if the ANT(enna) B input is
set as the main channel. (ANT B
cannot be displayed as a subpic-
ture.)

A pattern burn may develop if

the PIP subpicture is left in the
same corner permanently. If you
use the PIP feature often, occasion-
ally MOVE the PIP subpicture
using the PIP POSITION button.

Single Mode PIP

PIP CH(annel) +, – changes
channels in the PIP subpicture.

PIP SWAP switches the main
and PIP subpicture.

PIP FREEZE stops motion in
the PIP subpicture.

The FREEZE
feature is espe-
cially useful in
getting on-screen
phone numbers,
addresses, or
other informa-
tion.

PIP SOURCE changes the video
source in the PIP subpicture.

PIP POSITION moves the PIP
subpicture to a different corner of
the TV screen.
