Baffle to be firmly
supported on this
surface when assembling
the oil seal. Assemble
lip of seal as shown.

Apply a light coat of
Dow Coming RTV-03-7069
Sealant to O.D. of baffle
at assembly.

Oil baffle puller screws
to be located 15° to 30°
either side of vertical
center line.

Note:
Cover to be heated 200 to
250 F (93° - 121° C) and
bearing assembled while
cover is hot.

Snap ring to be assembled
with sharp edge to front

Press oil distributor sleeve to
shoulder as shown. Press at
2.00 [50,0] Dia. with the distributor
lock tab positioned in cast slot
in converter housing.

Must be loose internal fit
bearing with a No. 3 etched
on the bearings.

Torque capscrews 30 to 35 Lbs.-Ft.
[40,7 - 47, 5 N

m]. Lockwire every (2)

capscrews together as shown,
lockwire must not protrude above
capscrew head.

Fwd. & rev. with standard
piston & low clutch.
8 Outer steel discs
8 Inner friction discs
Insert one (1) steel disc.
Insert one (1) friction disc
Alternate steel and friction discs
until proper amount of discs
are installed. First disc next
to the piston is steel, last disc
installed is friction.

Tighten oil filter
20 to 25 Lbs.-Ft.
[27,1 - 33.9 N

m] torque.

NOTE:
With aluminum bearing cap
torque nut 75 to 85 Lbs. - Ft.
[101,7 - 115,2 N

m]

Tighten nut 200 to 250 Lbs.-Ft.
[271,2-339,0 N

m]

Expander gap to be
approx. 180° from ring hook
joint to aid assembly.

Seals must be sized prior
to assembly over shaft.

to assembly in bore.
