Electrical System

Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:

1. Fuses.

2. All connections relating

to circuit are clean and
tight.

If OK

Not

OK

With front wiper switch in

LOW or HIGH position, the

wiper does not operate.

Repair or replace

wiper harness.

Check for battery voltage on

wiper switch connector at

wire 6 (RED/WHT) and

wire 6A (RED/WHT).

If OK

Check 10-amp wiper fuse.

Replace wiper motor.

If OK

Not

OK

Not

OK

Replace fuse.

With wiper switch in OFF

position, check wire

4 (GRN) at wiper motor for

battery voltage.

If OK

If OK

Check for battery voltage

at wire 32 (GRY/WHT)

and wire 6 (RED/WHT)

at cab/wiper harness

connection. Check wire

1A (BLK) ground

connection.

Move wiper switch to LOW

position and check wire 3

(WHT) at wiper motor for

battery voltage. Move wiper

switch to HIGH position and

check wire 2 (BLU) at wiper

motor for battery voltage.

Clean and retighten ring

terminal.

Not

OK

Check ground connection,

wire 1 (BLK) at wiper motor.

If OK

Repair or replace

wiper harness.

Replace wiper

switch.

Not

OK

Check for battery voltage on

wiper switch connector at

wire 4 (GRN).

Repair or replace

wiper harness.

Not OK

If OK

Replace wiper

switch.

Not

OK

Check for battery voltage on

wiper switch connector at

wires 3 (WHT) and 2 (BLU).

Repair or replace

wiper harness.

Not OK

If OK
