Please unpack the equipment carefully and check for any
damages. It is important that any damages which may have ari-
sen during transport are ascertained when unpacking. If appli-
cable a fact report must be set immediately (post, rail or for-
warder).
The delivery scope covers: an EH4 basic and operating instruc-
tions.

Check whether the voltage specified on the type plate matches
the mains voltage available. The power socket used must be ear-
thed (protective earth conductor contact). If these conditions are
met, the device is ready to operate after plugging in the mains
plug. If these procedures are not followed, safe operation cannot
be guaranteed and/or the equipment may be damaged.
Observe the ambient conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.)
listed under Technical Data.

Place the IKA EH4 basic suspended thermostat on the bath vessel and
secure the EH4 basic suspended thermometer with the fixing clamp
on the bath vessel.

Fill the bath vessel with liquid to moderate the temperature
(when recommend water with moderate mineral content).
Make certain the bath is filled to the level indicated.
To empty the bath vessel, you should remove the ET basic sus-
pended thermostat and all accessory pieces from the bath ves-
sel.

The EH4 basic suspended thermostat is turned on with the
rocker switch (A). The „Temp“ rheostat dial (B) with accom-
panying temperature of the bath.
The heating-up phase is indicated by the yellow pilot light (C).
When the required temperature is reached, it flashes on and
off with the rythm of the heater.
The bath temperature that was set can be verified with the
monitoring thermometer.
