WARNING!

DO NOT BEND the unit more than 10º
Flexing it too much, or too many
times will damage the unit.
Most side-view mirrors have fairly flat
bottom and the vectraLIGHT can be
mounted as shown. If your mirror has a
slight curve, then roll the unit with firm pressure to fit the contour. The
foam liner is compressible to match the contour.
Painted and chrome plated housings have low Surface Energy for the
adhesive to make a strong bond. You should remove any wax, or oil film
and rough up the mating area for best bonding results. After positioning,
firmly press-down to get a good initial contact.
Maximum bond strength occurs after 48 hours of dwell time.
MOUNTING LOCATION:
Depending on how wide the bottom of your mirror is, you can locate the
vectraLIGHT so that the rear facing red LEDs are barely visible when you
sit on the bike. This is to shield the bright brake override output away from
your eyes.
As shown below, the rear facing red LEDs project a 60° beam to the rear
of the bike.
Before you hook-
up the vectraLIGHT
be sure that the
ignition is OFF.
