Installation

This section describes how to lift, move, and install the Isolation Service
Manifold (ISM).

Lifting and Moving the ISM

Dimensions and weights can be found on the drawings located on the Product
Information CD (part number 100-237-112).

Important

For European Union (EU) countries, all lifting accessories (chains,
slings, hooks, rings, and so forth) that come between the MTS
supplied equipment and the customer supplied lifting system need
certification. That is all lifting accessories used in EU countries
must be CE marked.

This section describes how to lift and move the ISM.

You will need a fork lift or overhead crane capable of lifting the ISM. Ensure that
the lifting equipment can accommodate the weight of the ISM.

The ISM is heavy.

The weight of the ISM can seriously hurt you and damage your ISM.

Do not allow the ISM to drop or topple.

Make sure that your chains, slings, and crane have a working capacity greater
than the ISM’s weight (see the preceding table).

Make sure that the hoist rings are tight.

Lift the ISM only high enough to clear its pallet.

Operate the crane or forklift smoothly to prevent breaking shocks to the sling.

1. Unpack the ISM.

A.

Remove the ISM from the shipping container (if used).

B.

Remove any protective wrapping.

C.

Use a clean cloth to wipe dust or debris deposited during shipment.
