Intended to allow
access through the
guarding (escape) and
not an emergency stop
device.

Meets ISO 14119:2013
Clause 5.7.5.2.

When the escape release is operated with the switch in the locked condition and with power
applied the OSSD outputs will turn off and the switch will enter a non-recoverable fault
(4 Hz red flash) requiring a power cycle to reset.

hazardous area
(Emergency situations)
and not as an
emergency stop device
or for routine manual
access.

Ensure the switch is
mounted/protected so as
to prevent accidental
operation.

When the manual release is operated with the switch in the locked condition and with power
applied the OSSD outputs will turn off and the switch will enter a non-recoverable fault
(4 Hz red flash) requiring a power cycle to reset

Ensure the knob is fully rotated back to the locked position before resuming operation.

area (exceptional situations) and not as an emergency stop device or for routine
manual access.

Meets ISO 14119:2013 Clause 5.7.5.4.

When the manual release is operated with the switch in the locked condition and with power
applied the OSSD outputs will turn off and the switch will enter a non-recoverable fault (4 Hz
red flash) requiring a power cycle to reset.

Ensure the knob is fully rotated back to the locked position before resuming operation and that
key is not left attached.
