Install the Module in an Existing System

To install a replacement module in an existing system, proceed as
follows.

1. To remove the module from the DIN rail, pull up on the RTB

removal handle to remove the terminal block.

2. Use a small-bladed screwdriver to rotate the DIN rail locking

screw to a vertical position.

This releases the locking mechanism.

3. Lift straight up to remove.

4. Position the module vertically above the DIN rail.

5. Slide the module down so that the interlocking side pieces

engage the adjacent module.

6. Press firmly to seat the module on the DIN rail.

The module locking mechanism will snap into place.

WARNING

When you connect or disconnect the Removable
Terminal Block (RTB) with field-side power
applied, an electrical arc can occur. This could
cause an explosion in hazardous location
installations.

Be sure that power is removed or the area is
nonhazardous before proceeding.
