Many conveyor photoelectric applications require addi-
tional mounting protection to provide a mechanical safeguard
against physical damage caused by accidental contact with the
flow of goods on the conveyor or from auxiliary equipment.
In response, PHOTOSWITCH has designed the #60--2083
Photoguard Assembly for use with any Series 5000 QD pho-
toelectric control in industrial environments where mounted
controls need to be safeguarded from possible physical dam-
age. The Photoguard improves protection against falling ob-
jects like heavy pallet loads and kegs or moving vehicles such
as fork lift trucks.
The #60--2083 Photoguard is formed of #12 gauge steel to
provide a rigid support and is secured with four (4) #1/4--20 x
1 mounting bolts for additional strength. It can be used in
conjunction with the Series 5000 control mounted to the
#60--1785 mounting assembly and still provide easy access to
the control and its mounting for alignment or photohead re-
moval.
