Redesign Unit Bus Stab Moldings

Existing Units

To replace the unit bus stab moldings on existing units with the redesigned bus
stab moldings, it is important to follow these guidelines.

Currently the holes in the bus stab moldings are 0.218.”

The current production Bulletin 2100 units use 10-32 pan head screws for
mounting the stab assembly. If the unit uses 10-32 screws, mount the stab
assembly as received. Units manufactured before September 1995, use 1/4-20
hex head screws. If the unit uses 1/4-20 screws it will be necessary to enlarge
the mounting holes in the moldings. Drill out the stab base molding mounting
holes to 0.323” diameter (see Figure 1) and drill out the stab cover molding to
0.281” diameter (see Figure 2). Then mount the stab assembly to the unit using
the existing hardware. Torque 10-32 screws to 32 lb-in (3.6Nm) and 1/4-20
screws to 55 lb-in (6.2Nm).
