This document provides information regarding the protective metal oxide 
varistors (MOVs) and common mode capacitors in the Kinetix 7000 drives. 
The MOVs, capacitors, and a sticker describing this issue, are located within 
the power terminal block. Refer to the Kinetix 7000 High Power Servo Drives 
Installation Instructions, publication  for more information. 
ATTENTION
Kinetix 7000 drives contain protective MOVs and common mode 
capacitors that are referenced to ground. In a grounded power 
distribution system, these devices assist in isolating the drive 
from electromagnetic interference (EMI). 
These devices must be disconnected if the drive is installed in:
• unbalanced, ungrounded, or resistive-grounded power
distribution systems.
