2.1 Physical
The TM1117-DMX module consists of a motherboard and a pair of DMX daughterboards, each
daughterboard fits onto the motherboard via two 40-pin headers
CAUTION
The daughter boards are symmetrical but must only be fitted in one
orientation onto the motherboard. The correct orientation is with the heat
sink at the opposite side to the motherboard connector blocks. (See
Figure 2-2. ).
The TM117-DMX daughterboard consists of an RS423 receiver/driver, control logic and 64
open collector drivers. All field connections including communications input signals, output
drive signals and power supply requirements are terminated on the motherboard.
