Misc

Use Default Settings

1. Press the SETUP button in stop mode.
2. Press the / button to select Misc.
3. Press the button, then press the / button to select desired option

(Use Default Settings or Screen Saver).

4. Press the ENTER button, then press the / button to select “Yes”,

then press the ENTER button. The original setting will be restored. The
unit will exit the menu automatically and re-load the disc in the disc tray.

Note: It will take 3-5 seconds to reset the DVD player to the factory default.

Screen Saver

1. Press the SETUP button in stop mode.
2. Press the / button to select Misc.
3. Press the button, then press the / button to select Screen Saver.
4. Press the ENTER button, then press the / button to change the On/Off mode, then press the ENTER button.
5. Press the button to return to the previous menu. Press the SETUP or RETURN button to exit the menu.

Rating

Parental Control

DVDs are rated according to their content and some are equipped with a password function. The contents allowed
by parental lock level and the way a DVD is controlled may vary from disc to disc. For example, if the disc allows,
you could lock-out violent scenes unsuitable for children or you could lock out playback of the disc altogether.
1. Press the SETUP button in stop mode.
2. Press the / button to select Rating.
3. Press the button, then press the / button to select Parental Control.
4. Press the ENTER button, "Enter Password" screen will appear.
5. Press the number buttons to input the current password (If the

password has not been set yet after you purchase this unit, it is "8888").
Then press the ENTER button.

6. Press the ENTER button again to list the parental control level.
The parental lock levels are equivalent to the following ratings:
1 : Kid Safe

2 : G

3 : PG

4 : PG-13

5 : PG-R

6 : R

7 : NC-17

8 : Adult

7. Press the / button to select the rating from 1 to 8. Press the ENTER button to confi rm. (Rating 1 has the

most restrictions while rating 8 can virtually playback all DVD software.)

8. Press the button to return to the previous menu. Press the SETUP or RETURN button to exit the menu.
Note: You cannot play DVD video discs rated higher than the level you selected unless you cancel the parental
lock function.

Set Password

1. Press the SETUP button in stop mode.
2. Press the / button to select Rating.
3. Press the button, then press the / button to select Set Password.
4. Press the ENTER button, "Enter Password" screen will appear.
5. Press the number buttons to input the current password (If the password has not been set yet after you

purchase this unit, it is "8888"). Then press the ENTER button.

6. Press the ENTER button again, "Enter New Password" screen will appear. Press the number buttons to input

the new password and press the ENTER button two times. Now your new password has been set. Be sure to
remember this number!

7. Press the button to return to the previous menu. Press the SETUP or RETURN button to exit the menu.

If you forget the password, you can erase your current password by pressing the number button 8 on the remote

control four times, then press the ENTER button to confi rm the setting (PASSWORD : 8 8 8 8).
