Touch the OK button to confirm.
Changing the Ramp Rate
To emulate a thermal cycler that runs at a slower ramp rate than the C1000 Touch thermal
cycler, change the ramp rate of the appropriate protocol step. To modify the ramp rate:
1. Select a step in the protocol and touch the Options button.
2. Touch the Ramp Rate button.
3. Enter a value using the pop-up numeric keypad.
4. Touch the OK button to confirm.
5. To remove a ramp rate, select a step in the protocol and then touch the Options button.
The Step Options window opens. Touch the Ramp Rate button and use the back
button on the pop-up numeric keypad to clear the entry.
6. Touch the OK button to confirm.
Adding or Removing a Temperature Increment
An increment raises or lowers the target temperature for a step with each cycle. To add or
remove a temperature increment:
1. Select a step in the protocol and touch the Options button.
2. Touch the Increment button.
3. Enter a value using the pop-up numeric keypad.
4. Touch the OK button.
5. To remove an increment, select a step in the protocol and then touch the Options
button.
The Step Options window opens. Touch the Increment button and use the back button
on the pop-up numeric keypad to clear the entry.
6. Touch the OK button to confirm.
Adding or Removing an Extend Time
To increase or decrease the hold time with each cycle, use the extend time function:
1. Select a step in the protocol and touch the Options button.
2. Touch the Extend button.
3. Enter a value using the pop-up numeric keypad.
4. Touch the OK button to confirm.
5. To remove an extend time option, select a step in the protocol and then touch the
Options button.
The Step Options window opens. Touch the Extend button and use the back button on
the pop-up numeric keypad to clear the entry.
6. Touch the OK button to confirm.
