The Saved Files Screen
Many functions begin with choosing a protocol from the saved files screen. For example,
before running or editing a protocol, select the desired protocol file:
• Touch Run to run the selected protocol
• Touch Edit to edit the selected protocol
To open the saved files screen, touch the Saved Files button on the home screen. The saved
files screen provides access to multiple locations and folders (Figure 27).

• Thermal cycler location— contains protocols stored on the thermal cycler,
including the Bio-Rad PCR folder that stores the preinstalled PCR protocols. If a
CFX96
TM or CFX384 TM optical reaction module has been installed on the base, this
location will also have a Bio-Rad qPCR folder that contains preinstalled qPCR
protocols.
