Installing the Boot Agent Software Image

Intel server adapters, such as the Intel PRO/1000PT Server Adapter, have a factory-installed, integrated flash ROM device that

has been pre-programmed with a Boot Agent software image. Therefore, no software installation is required.

NOTE: Use BootUtil to enable the flash ROM on some Intel server adapters.

NOTE: For the following adapters, PXE can be enabled through the uEFI environment.

To do this:

1. Go to System Setup.

2. Choose a port and go to configuration.

3. Specify the boot protocol: PXE, FCoE, iSCSI Primary, or iSCSI Secondary.

NOTE: The following adapters do not support the FCoE boot protocol:
