Replacing the Display Assembly
CAUTION: Before you perform any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the
Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically
touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer.
1. Follow the instructions in Preparing to Work Inside the Computer
2. Follow the instructions in Removing the Display Assembly .
3. Align the new display assembly over the screw holes in the base of the computer.
4. Replace the four M2.5 x 5-mm screws (two on each side) to secure the display assembly to the base of the
computer.
5. Connect the Mini PCI antenna cable connectors and press the cables into the retaining clips on the base of the
computer.
6. Connect the display cable to the system board.
7. Replace the keyboard (see Replacing the Keyboard ).
8. Replace the hinge cover (see Replacing the Hinge Cover ).
