Enabling Single Instance
Storage (SIS) on the first
volume disables SIS on
the subsequent volumes

When you enable SIS on the first volume using the
Advanced tab of the Volume Properties window, SIS
is disabled on subsequent volumes and no error
message is displayed.

To work around this issue, run the following command from the
command prompt to fully enable the SIS features: sisadmin /i
<volume>

When you enable SIS on subsequent volumes through the Graphical
User Interface (GUI), the SIS service is stopped. You must restart the
SIS service manually through the services.msc application for each
volume.
