The
PREVENT
/
ALLOW
MEDIA
REMOVAL
commands
enable
or
disable
removing
cartridges
from
the
media
changer.
A
prevent
condition
inhibits
the
media
changer
to
remove
magazines
and
open
the
Import/Export
element.
A
prevent
condition
of
the
media
changer
shall
not
affect
an
UNLOAD
command
issued
to
the
tape
drive.
Also
a
prevent
condition
shall
not
inhibit
a
front
panel
LOAD
of
a
cartridge
when
the
tape
drive
is
empty.
A
prevent
condition
is
cleared
when
all
initiators
issue
the
Prevent
Allow
Medium
Removal
command
with
the
Prevent
field
set
to
0
(allow
cartridge
removal).
The
prevent
condition
is
also
cleared
after
a
power
on
and
after
a
SCSI
Bus
reset.
