Overview
The Dell PowerVault LTO4-120HH tape drive is a high-performance, high-capacity tape storage device that is designed to back up and restore data and archive and
retrieve files in an Open Systems environment. The drive can be integrated into a system (internal model) or can be provided as a separately packaged desktop unit
(external model). The Dell PowerVault LTO4-120HH tape drive (called Generation 4) is the fourth-generation tape drive in the LTO series of products.
The Dell PowerVault LTO4-120HH tape drive offers a formatted cartridge capacity of up to 800 GB (1600 GB assuming 2:1 compression ratio) and a maximum data
transfer rate of 120 MB per second.
Figure 1 shows the internal model of the LTO4-120HH tape drive. Figure 2 shows the separately purchased external model of the tape drive.
