Memory sending (see p. 6-5)

Each time you send a document, the fax quickly scans the document into memory and then sends the
document from memory after it has dialled the receiving party. This is called memory sending. Memory
sending allows you to remove the original document immediately after scanning.
If MEMORY FULL appears on the LCD when scanning the document, the rest of the document is not
scanned into memory but is sent directly to the receiving party.

Manual sending (see p. 6-6)

If you would like to speak with the receiving party before sending a document to them, use manual sending.
When sending manually, you dial, converse normally and then press [Start] to begin sending.
For manual sending, you need to have the optional handset, a telephone or an extension phone connected.
