Removing the System Board

1.

Follow the procedures in

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.

2.

Remove the

Cover

.

3.

Remove the

Memory

.

4.

Remove the

Heat-Sink and Fan Assembly

.

5.

Remove the

Processor

.

6.

Remove the

Expansion Cards

.

7.

Disconnect all the cables from the system board — hard-drive(s), optical-drive(s), media-card-reader, front-panel, power, and chassis-fan cables.

8.

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the nine screws that secure the system board to the computer chassis.

9.

Slide the system board towards the front of the computer.
