Removing the Heat Sink
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
from the computer.
3.
Remove the
access panel
from the computer.
4.
Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
5.
Loosen the five captive screws that secure the heat sink to the computer.
6.
Lift the heat sink and remove it from the computer.
