Removing the System Board

1.

Follow the procedures in

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.

2.

Remove the

battery

from the computer.

3.

Remove the

access panel

from the computer.

4.

Remove the

hinge cover

from the computer.

5.

Remove the

keyboard

from the computer.

6.

Remove the

display assembly

from the computer.

7.

Remove the

palm rest

from the computer.

8.

Disconnect the modem data cable from the system board.

9.

Turn the computer right-side up on the work surface.

10.

Remove the two screws that secure the system board to the computer chassis.

11.

Lift the left side of the system board to disengage it from the I/O board, then remove the system board from the computer and set it aside.
