Replacing the I/O Board

Procedure

1

Insert the ports on the I/O board into the slots on the computer base.

2

Align the screw holes on the I/O board with the screw holes on the system board.

3

Press down on the I/O board to connect it to the system board.

4

Connect the right tron-lights cable to the I/O board.

5

Replace the screws that secure the I/O board to the system board.

Postrequisites

1

Follow step 5 to step 9 in "Replacing the Palm Rest" on page 49.

Replace the video card. See "Replacing the Video Card" on page 44.

Replace the video-card heat sink. See "Replacing the Video-Card Heat Sink" on
