1.

Follow the instructions in

Before You Begin

.


 

2.

Remove the battery (see

Removing the Battery

).


 

3.

Remove the keyboard (see

Removing the Keyboard

).


 

4.

Follow the instructions from

step 4

to

step 6

Removing the Hard Drive

.


 

5.

Remove the palm rest (see

Removing the Palm Rest

).


 

6.

Turn the palm rest over and remove the screw that secures the power button board to the palm rest.

 

7.

Lift the power button board off the palm rest.

 

Replacing the Power Button Board

 

1.

Follow the instructions in

Before You Begin

.


 

2.

Align the screw hole on the power button board with the screw hole on the palm rest.

 

3.

Replace the screw that secures the power button board to the palm rest.

Replace the palm rest (see

).

Follow the instructions from
