Place the computer on the port replicator platform, with the back of the computer
facing the port replicator’s docking connector, as shown in Figure 1-2.

Position your fingers on the platform grips, as shown in Figure 1-3, and use your
thumbs to push the computer forward until the docking connectors are fully
engaged.

Turn on the computer.

Detaching the Computer From the Port

Replicator

Perform the following steps to detach the computer from the APR. The APR has a
power button and a safe undock button located on the right side of the port replicator.

NOTE: Do not use the power button located on the APR to turn off your computer
while it is attached to the APR. Doing so could result in data loss. Use the power but-
ton on the APR to turn on the computer only after it is attached to the APR.
