Support Bracket

Removing the Support Bracket

Follow the procedures in
Before You Begin
.

Remove the computer cover (see
Removing the Computer Cover
).
Inspiron™ 535s/537s
a.
Pull back the support bracket release latch and pivot the support bracket up.
b.
Lift the support bracket off the hinge tabs and set it aside in a secure place.
Inspiron 545s/546s
a.
Remove the screw securing the card retention bracket.
b.
Push the card retention bracket towards the back of the computer.
c.
Pivot the support bracket up and lift it off the hinge tab.
d.
Set the support bracket aside in a secure location.
